COOPERS HAWK - NEW APPETIZER!!

Today was a day like any other day.  Work was good.  Busy but good.  I called over to one of my favorite places to pop in to at the end of a work day - Coopers Hawk Winery -  and put in an order to go.  I was tired and dreamed about coming home early, slipping on the pajama's, playing with our cats, and watching something good on the old device that receives television signals and reproduces them on a screen. I arrived a little early and was forced to have a seat at the bar.  I figured while I was waiting I would have a glass of my go to wine - the Coopers Hawk Viognier.  The bar was pretty busy which is usually the case but I found a seat pretty easily and had a glass of wine in front of me in barely 2 minutes.

I took a quick peek at the Happy Hour Menu and noticed that there was something different about it's offerings.  There was a new item that I had never seen before.  I was excited as I pulled on the reading glasses, ready to see what new deliciousness had been added to the already amazingly awesome Happy Hour offerings - and what do my eyes see but .........Brussels Sprouts!!! The image below describes my past relationship with this item!!

Brussels Sprouts - here is where the story takes an incredible turn.  I was one glass of Viognier in and my salad still isn't ready - I asked the bartenders how the new appetizer is, what did they think, have they tried it?  After many rave reviews I order the CRISPY BRUSSELS SPROUTS Cashews, Mint, Sweet Thai Chili, Sesame-Sriracha Aioli. And now my life has been changed.  I can not appropriately put into words how crispy, meaty, delicious, and exciting every bite of these sprouts were.  The angels were singing, I really did feel that every bite was an amazing experience. So here it is - I ate a Brussels Spout and I liked it. Please don't tell my mom. You should get to Coopers Hawk as soon as you can can taste the amazing things they have done to Brussels Sprouts.  Oh and their wine is pretty amazing too!!
